Who we are
We are a small, independent, husband-and-wife run business, and we have been at Scawby Spares since 2002. We are passionate about cars, as well as the environment, and do all we can to ensure the re-use or recycling of all cars. We have a particular interest in classic vehicles and support their re-use, as opposed to their destruction, in the interests of both the environment and history.
What do we do
Although we began by focussing merely on the dismantling and recycling of end-of-life vehicles, we have found it more satisfying to see a car find a new life and family in it's original shape. Our belief is that reuse is far more environmentally friendly than just breaking a car down for spare parts. So now we are concentrating on recycling by repairing/restoring/rescuing unloved, unwanted or damaged cars. We do still offer a ‘donor’ facility because some cars, with the best will in the world, are not well enough for a new life, and are better used as spares to enhance and extend the life of another vehicle.
We are an Authorised Treatment Facility registered with the Environment Agency and have a full Waste Management Licence.
We also have a Carriers Licence so are able to collect your vehicle should you require, please ask.
We have DVLA authorisation to issue Certificates of Destruction for vehicles at the end stage of their useful life, should their re-use not be an option.

We pay cash for your old or unwanted vehicles, post 2000 vehicles always required. Either end-of-life or just in-your-way, please call for a valuation, we promise to offer cash for anything. Everything considered.
Collection is always an option should the vehicle in question refuse to move under it’s own steam, should it not be road-legal or should you find your time more valuable used elsewhere.
